in-it-to-win-fitHey Everyone! I’m Ari, a 19 year old college student from The Ohio State University. This is my new fitness blog! I’m hoping I can use this as a way to motivate myself, as well as motivate you and meet some amazing people along the way! A little back story: I’ve always tried to be healthy, since the summer before my freshman year of high school, but I was never dedicated or educated until the end of my senior year. The end of my senior year was when I was at my healthiest and most confident! I was on a major health kick.. but unfortunately, it was only a health kick. I ate fairly healthy and worked out nearly every day. But as some of you know… the transition from high school to college can be a bit rough. Not only did I stop eating as healthy and working out often, but I also stopped working at the local gym and picked up twice as many hours at a fast food joint.. I ate fast food and cafeteria food at least five times a week in the first semester, once during the second, and I hit the gym maybe five times the entire year. The Freshman 15 is not a myth, guys. Neither is the Freshman 40.. Yep.. You heard me. I gained FORTY pounds in seven months. I began to feel sluggish and tired and I lost every ounce of motivation in me. But I refuse to make the same mistake my sophomore year. It won’t be easy but it will be so worth it. I’m in it to win fit. Are you?

Eating at night always upsets me so im just gonna hug myself right now because i am allowed to eat if i am hungry no matter what time it is.

Eat when you’re hungry, girl! If your car’ meter is on E you’re not gonna say “ooh, I heard somewhere that putting gas in my car after 9 lowers my gas mileage..” You fill that car up! Have a snack and hug yourself for all of us!
