Hey Everyone! I’m Ari, a 19 year old college student from The Ohio State University. This is my new fitness blog! I’m hoping I can use this as a way to motivate myself, as well as motivate you and meet some amazing people along the way! A little back story: I’ve always tried to be healthy, since the summer before my freshman year of high school, but I was never dedicated or educated until the end of my senior year. The end of my senior year was when I was at my healthiest and most confident! I was on a major health kick.. but unfortunately, it was only a health kick. I ate fairly healthy and worked out nearly every day. But as some of you know… the transition from high school to college can be a bit rough. Not only did I stop eating as healthy and working out often, but I also stopped working at the local gym and picked up twice as many hours at a fast food joint.. I ate fast food and cafeteria food at least five times a week in the first semester, once during the second, and I hit the gym maybe five times the entire year. The Freshman 15 is not a myth, guys. Neither is the Freshman 40.. Yep.. You heard me. I gained FORTY pounds in seven months. I began to feel sluggish and tired and I lost every ounce of motivation in me. But I refuse to make the same mistake my sophomore year. It won’t be easy but it will be so worth it. I’m in it to win fit. Are you?
